Online stores

One setup. Every product.

Measure products → carts → checkout → confirmed purchases. Categories and new products flow in through the store integration, not individual button rules.

Automatic product measurement

Connect once, not product by product

  1. 1
    Choose the shop’s Analytics property

Connect Google in Market Solo and select the GA4 property belonging to this store. No Tag Manager container is required when the platform sends ecommerce events natively.

    Connect or review Analytics
  2. 2
Enable the platform’s GA4 ecommerce integration

Use the platform’s supported ecommerce integration. For a custom site, send GA4 ecommerce events with an items array. One item-aware implementation covers all products; generic Buy-button clicks cannot confirm payment.

    Open the official setup guide
  3. 3
Keep categories, prices and consent intact

Send item ID, name, product category, variant, price, quantity and currency. Use product type as the main category and a separate level for franchise or collection. Honour analytics consent; advertising consent is separate. Do not send customer names, emails or addresses.

  4. 4
    Verify the complete journey once

Check view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout and purchase in GA4 DebugView using the store’s test mode. Purchase needs a unique, non-empty transaction_id; do not install a second sender for an event already measured. This page reads recorded results; it does not place a test order.

Already using Tag Manager?

Reuse the existing ecommerce data layer instead of tracking every button. On Shopify, checkout runs in a pixel sandbox: a theme-only click trigger is not sufficient. Review the native integration first; custom pixels require a developer, consent checks and duplicate-event testing.
